About SSHA

A welcoming community club — club days, training, and competitions across shotgun and pistol, plus an approved hunting club pathway, with ranges in Sydney and the Southern Highlands.

Who we are

The Sydney Shooters & Hunting Association (SSHA) is a community club dedicated to promoting, educating, and supporting the sport of target shooting and ethical hunting. We recognise the disciplines set out in the Standard Shooting Rules for Australian Shooting Clubs, and we work to give members the amenities, facilities, and support they need to enjoy their sport safely and confidently.

What we do

Members take part in club days, competitions, and training across shotgun and pistol — including clay target disciplines such as trap and skeet — with related rifle shooting also part of club life. Most events are held at Sydney International Shooting Centre (Cecil Park), with affiliation also at the Southern Highlands Regional Shooting Complex.

SSHA is also an approved hunting club and Hunter Leap provider. Longarms membership can support hunting genuine reasons, and members can use the hunting club pages and member hunting hub for trips, stories, and tips. Where members hunt or take part in feral pest control, we expect that work to be done humanely, ethically, and only in areas approved by the proper authorities.
